Dussehra Celebration: Conquering the Ravana Within Ourselves
Description : Dussehra Celebration: Conquering the Ravana Within Ourselves*
Our school celebrated Dussehra with great enthusiasm as students witnessed the symbolic burning of Ravana’s effigy, celebrating the eternal victory of truth over falsehood and good over evil.
A major highlight of the celebration was the captivating presentation of the Ramayana* by our students, depicting significant episodes from Sita Haran to Ravan Vadh. The performance captured the attention of the students, brought the timeless epic to life, and inspired them to learn more about the Ramayana and its enduring values.
One of the most important life lessons from Ravana’s story is that knowledge, intelligence, and power alone do not define a person; true greatness lies in humility, self-control, righteousness, and respect for others. Ravana’s downfall reminds us that even great achievements cannot protect us from the consequences of arrogance and wrongdoing.
In today’s world, the message of Dussehra is more relevant than ever. The real Ravana is not just an effigy to be burned but the ego, cruelty, dishonesty, and disrespect within us that we must overcome.
This Dussehra, let us not just burn Ravana’s effigy, but resolve to conquer the Ravana within ourselves. 🌸
Wishing everyone a happy and blessed Dussehra!
