Today, Kanya Kubja Public School hosted an enriching and insightful seminar on Globalization, providing students with an opportunity to broaden their perspectives on pressing global issues.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by the introduction of our esteemed resource person, Dr. Shishir K. Srivastava, Founder of the Global Unity 2035 Movement, an initiative associated with UNESCO’s Global Citizenship Education (GCED). He was formally welcomed by our respected Principal, Ms. Pooja Sehgal. Following this, Dr. Srivastava watered a sapling as a symbolic gesture of environmental stewardship and sustainability, reinforcing the message of nurturing and protecting our environment.
Dr. Shishir K. Srivastava shared his invaluable insights with the students and sensitised them to the impact of carbon dioxide emissions on the environment and the challenges of climate change. He emphasised the importance of environmental responsibility and encouraged students to contribute towards a greener and healthier planet by planting and nurturing trees.
The session was made more engaging through an interactive segment, where Dr. Srivastava posed thought-provoking questions to the students and encouraged them to actively participate and express their views. Our respected Principal, Ms. Pooja Sehgal, also interacted with the students, encouraging them to put into practice the valuable lessons shared by the resource person and to remain aware of the developments and issues taking place around them.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to Dr. Srivastava, the school leadership, teachers, and students for making the seminar a truly enriching and memorable experience
