A workshop on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences
Description : A workshop on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 was conducted at Kanyakubja Public School. The session was led by Ms. Rekha Pachauri, an experienced educator, CBSE resource person, and POSH/POCSO awareness trainer.
The programme began with the lighting of the lamp by our respected principal ma'am,Ms. Pooja Sehgal and Ms.Rekha Pachauri which set a positive and enlightening tone for the session.
Ms. Pachauri highlighted the key provisions of the Act, the duties and responsibilities of teachers, and the importance of creating a safe and supportive environment for children. The workshop also included interactive activities and discussions, which enabled teachers to understand the practical application of the guidelines in real-life situations.
The session was informative, interactive, and insightful, further strengthening the school’s commitment to child safety and protection.
