Description : Today, a workshop was organized at Kanya Kubja Public School by the Kanpur Ploggers Group, an organization actively working to spread awareness about the harmful effects of plastic usage. The motive of the workshop was to educate students about the environmental damage caused by plastic and to promote eco-friendly alternatives in daily life. The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the removal of ignorance and the spread of knowledge.
Our respected Principal, Ms. Pooja Sehgal, extended a warm welcome to the esteemed guests, Shri Anoop Dwivedi Ji and Dr. Sanjeevani Ji.
Dr. Sanjeevani Ma’am, the main speaker of the event, enlightened the students on the alarming consequences of plastic pollution. She emphasized that "plastic is not an environmental problem; it is our personal problem," urging everyone to take personal responsibility for reducing plastic use. She explained the importance of plastic recycling, reuse, reduction, and the repurposing of plastic products, and strongly encouraged students to say no to plastic in their daily lives.
As a meaningful contribution to the cause, the Socio-Eco Club of our school collected waste plastic from students’ homes and handed it over to the Kanpur Ploggers Group for recycling, setting an excellent example of student initiative and environmental responsibility.
The workshop was highly informative and inspiring for the students. In the end, our Principal Ma’am expressed heartfelt gratitude to both guests for their valuable guidance and efforts in creating environmental awareness among the young minds.
